As finite element models grow in size and complexity, solver performance becomes increasingly important. The COMSOL Multiphysics® software offers a comprehensive selection of solvers that enable users to simulate multiphysics phenomena across a broad range of science and engineering fields. These solvers include robust methods for stationary and time-dependent problems, nonlinear systems, optimization, and a variety of direct and iterative linear solvers, all designed to support the software’s built-in and user-defined multiphysics couplings.

Join us in this session to learn techniques for solving large-scale problems efficiently. We will also explore solver selection strategies based on time and memory requirements and examine how performance is influenced by computational factors such as memory bandwidth, processor architecture, and parallelization. Attendees working with electromagnetics, structural mechanics, fluid flow, or other physics will learn about solver options that can significantly reduce simulation time and improve scalability.
