Non-catalytic reaction in Com

I am trying to model heterogeneous non-catalytic gas-solid reactions in a packed bed, in which the material of the solid particles reacts with the gas flowing through the bed and becomes another material. Is there an example tutorial in the Comsol demonstration? The ones I saw focus on catalytic reactions where the solid does not participate in the reactions and does not transform, and the reactions occur only on surface reactions. I would like to model reactions where the solid forms part of the porous matrix and is transformed by passing the reactant gas. Is it possible to define the solid reagent n the matrix in transport of species diluted in porous media? Can anybody help me?
