Does "Radiative Beam in Absorbing Media" takes the emission of the media into account?

Hi everyone,

I am using this physics to simulate an aerogel under the sunlight. It is said that this physics could be applied as long as 3 requirements are met, and one of them is that "there is no emission in the wavelength range of the incident beam". Sure, the emission of the media could only be mostly in the infrared range rather than visible light. But does it mean that this physics takes the infrared emission of the media into account when calculating the temperature field?

I would be grateful if anyone clarifies this problem.

Regards, Megan
