How to simulate flexion/torsion?

I have just been tossed in the deep end of a new project and my PI wants me to simulate and optimize the geometry of a structure that will act like a spring by early this upcoming week. I have no experience with Comsol at all. Where can I find tutorials/tips/tricks on going about setting this simulation up?

Can anyone please help me with this topic? Just a pointer in the general direction would be very very helpful. I am having a hard time even figuring out how to draw the spring.
