What the meaning of error " Unknown Property "?

Hi,

In COMSOL v4.2, I import a function (HXG(A,B,C,D)) from Matlab. But when I use it to evaluate the varaibles as follow:

Name Expression
HX HXG(A,B,C,D)

it shows the HXG(A,B,C,D) is the "Unknown Property".

What's the meaning of this error?
