Time steps decrease abruptly after stopping a time dependent simulation

Hi, I am using magnetic field(mf) simulation. I find every time I continue a study after stop and saving it, the time steps will decrease greatly compared to the steps before I stop it. The simulation becomes too slow to output a solution due to the tiny steps. Are there any solutions to improve the situation?

Hello Aki,

This Knowledgebase entry explains how the transient solver selects the initial time step size and discusses how you can affect the time step size by adjusting solver settings. I think this will answer your question.

Best,

Jeff
