Machining simulation

I'm trying to create a machining simulation (two-dimensional), but no matter what I change, I consistently encounter the following error: "Calculation of the elastoplastic strain variable failed. Time-dependent solver interrupted. Not all time steps outputted."
I conducted a time-dependent study using "solid mechanics" for this purpose. The raw part being processed is fixed from the bottom and right to model clamping. I've set up plasticity using the Johnson-Cook material model and entered the corresponding coefficients. For the cutting tool, I've specified a velocity so that it penetrates into the component, removing a thin layer of material. The simulation time frame is chosen so that the cutting tool traverses the entire component.
I hope someone here can help me troubleshoot this issue.
