Hello everyone!
I am modeling an oil immursed transformer with practical dimensions and design to simulate short circuit test in order to find the electromagnetic forces on the coils. I am using BH curve for the core and "Coil" feature to model both HV and LV coils.
I am facing following issues: 1- Magnetic flux density in core is exceeding the saturation value, even when the coil currents are normal. 2- There is no functionality to add layers in the coils, only number of turns. How can I model my coils? HV coil is a strip with cross-sectional area of 1.65-by-4.5 mm2 with 24 layers and 87 turns in each layer (total turns = 2088). Onthe LV side, I have foil with 1.6-by-455 mm2 with 14 layers and obviously 1 turn in each layer.
I have tried changing every parameter in the magnetic field nodes but I am stuck with these problems. Kindly guide me through this. I would really appreciate some positive response.
Thanks.
