Band diagram of metal based photonic crystal

For dielectric-based photonic crystals, the band diagram can be obtained by doing a k-parameter sweep. But when I simply changed the dielectric to a metal, I was not able to get the band diagram. So I think along with the k parameter sweep another additional setting should be done to incorporate the dispersive behavior of metal with respect to frequency. It would be helpful if anyone could guide me in this regard.
