Legal Considerations for Sharing an MPH File

Hello,

I am hoping to get a paper published in which we discuss a model we created in COMSOL. I believe it would be helpful for the actual MPH file to be available as supplemental material. Are there any legal considerations that I should keep in mind when doing this. In other words, as a licensed COMSOL user, am I allowed to share the MPH files broadly on the internet, or does COMSOL (the company) put restrictions on my ability to do this?

For the record, I am not worried about MY intellectual property—I’d be happy for others to use/edit/redistribute my file as they see fit. I’m just worried that I would be running afoul of my license agreement with COMSOL and/or their intellectual property.

Thanks for any insight, Ben

You can find the specific license agreements at: https://www.comsol.com/sla +++ I'm not a COMSOL employee, not an attorney, and I can't speak for COMSOL. That said, people post .mph files on this forum all the time! So, I doubt there are restrictions imposed across the board by the Comsol company regarding sharing generic .mph files, but you should check the license agreements for a more definitive answer.
