Hi,

I am trying to model an oil well along with its surrounding formation. I have put in equations for thermal conductivity and specific heat which are dependent on temperature. trying to compute but it gives an error which I am not able to understand. I am fairly new to comsol. If anyone can help me with this.

I am attaching my model. Please if anyone can guide me with this, It is very important for me to do it.

Hi Saurabh,
The problem (or at least one problem) is that your initial conditions for temperature are inconsistent with your boundary conditions. Perhaps you can replace your BC on the inner boundary with a quick ramp up from the initial value (-5[degC]) to the final value (170[degF]) using a ramp function or similar.
I hope this helps.
Best,
Jeff
