interfacing piezoelectric device with electrical circuit

I have built a piezoelectric device in cylinder . how i connect a resister to the device??
i choose the terminal in piezoelectric device model.
set: terminal name= 1
terminal type = circuit
terminal name= 2
terminal type = circuit
then choose resistor in electrical circuit model..
set :
label node name
p 1
n 2
but getting error
" the DAE is structurally inconsisent
variables- 3
equations-0
error is automatically sequence generation"
plzzz help .......to solve this......
