Hi i am doing distortion analysis in GMAW arc welding simulation. i have used heat transfer module and structural mechanics module. I have coupled thermal history with mechanical model to give von mises stresses and distortion results.
Temperature dependent material properties and isotropic hardening function are used and material considered as linear elastic material.
i m getting results with displacement in order of e-6 and stress in range of 2000 Pa. Please can anyone suggest possibly where I could have gone wrong.
