Question about optimization in ray tracing

I‘m a beginner in COMSOL, now I'm trying to design a light guide in cylinder shape so that I can let the light pass through this light guide as much as possible. My constrain are fixed top and bottom radius. When I add the optimization module, and right click it, I find many options in tool bar. I have no idea about which one should I use and how to set it. Is there anyone know how to set that? Thanks.
