Micromachined Gyroscope with Mixed Formulation

This tutorial demonstrates the operation of a gyroscope based on design provided by Dr. James Ransley at Veryst Engineering, LLC. The model uses the Electromechanics coupling with the mixed finite element formulation in the Electrostatics interface.
This model example illustrates applications of this type that would nominally be built using the following products:
however, additional products may be required to completely define and model it. Furthermore, this example may also be defined and modeled using components from the following product combinations:
- COMSOL Multiphysics® and
- either the AC/DC Module, or MEMS Module and
- either the MEMS Module, or Structural Mechanics Module
