How to Update Your Current Version of COMSOL Multiphysics®
COMSOL® offers updates for your current COMSOL Multiphysics® installation as well as upgrades to new versions of the software. Upgrading to a new major version requires an updated license. Product updates, on the other hand, do not require an updated license. Product updates consist of, as the name implies, updates and improvements to the functionality included in your current version of COMSOL Multiphysics®. Updates can be installed directly through the software, as shown in the video below. Information on the contents of the product updates and alternative installation methods can be found via the Product Updates page.
Note: Information on version upgrades can be found with the Release History, and new major versions can be installed via the steps discussed here: How to Install COMSOL Multiphysics®. Installing new versions will not affect previously installed versions.
