Watch the final video in our 3-part video series on cable modeling in the COMSOL Multiphysics^® software. In parts 1 and 2, we discussed 2D and 3D cable modeling, respectively. Here, we give a brief introduction to armored cable modeling and twisted periodicity. We also discuss simulation apps, the Application Builder, and what cable system simulation apps can be used for.

We end the series with a demonstration of how to build and modify an app using the Submarine Cable Analyzer demo app as an example. This can be used to analyze losses in a 3-phase cable with a twisted magnetic armor.
