Dear COMSOL users,
I was trying to simulate heating (inductive+Joul) of a multilayer coil connected in parallel with a capacitor (set to an initial voltage using the Electrical circuit module). I used the physics module Induction Heating. The problem is that section Electromagnetic Heat Source under section Multiphysics automatically excludes the domain with the multilayer coil, so when I start the simulation the coil does not heat itself up.
My goal is to get current in time. Heating is important since it changes the coil resistance and hence affects the current. How should I go around the problem?
Any help is appreciated.
Warm Regards,
