I want to simulate an Axially Asymmetric Magnetic Wheel which induces eddy currents in an aluminium plate. Similar to what this paper describes: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/9594986
I have tried to do this using the Rotating Machinery Magnetic (rmm) module combined with the Moving Mesh > Rotating Domain feature.
The system converges nicely using a Stationary Study. However, the moment you add a time dependence study, the simulation gives an error: "Failed to find consistent initial values. Last time step is not converged."
Attached is my attempt at a very simplified version of the problem: a rotating magnetic wheel (N52) inside a block of air.
