Displacement field in Structural Mechanics Module

Hello,
I use COMSOL to successfully calculate a displacement field (u, v, w) for a given model in the Structural Mechanics Module.
I then use the COMSOL API to load the z-displacement (that is, w) field into an array structure.
The array W has dimensions (12, 257527). Can someone tell me how this conversion process works, i.e. what do the elements in W correspond to?
I know that the rows in this array probably correspond to the number of eigenfrequencies I solve for. But how can I associate the individual columns with my mesh elements?
Thanks.
