AC/DC Module (electrostatic field)

A semiconductor crystal with dimensions of 5×5×20mm^3, with cathode and anode at the top and bottom of the crystal respectively, where -2000V high voltage is applied to the cathode and the anode is grounded. To simulate the electric field distribution inside the crystal using the electrostatic module in COMSOL Multiphysics, I would like to apply a continuously changing voltage gradient on the side of the crystal. How should I set this up in COMSOL?

Xiongwei,

if the gradient is in z-direction apply a potential BC that depends on the z-coordinate, e.g. V*z or whatever gradient you want to apply.
