how to apply a constant rate of displacement loading for cantilever bending

I want to model the bending process of a cantilever. I build a 2D plain-strain model, with a rectangular for the cantilever and a half circle for the tip. A contact pair is created between the tip and cantilever.

1) First I try a prescribed displacement boundary condition for the tip, and the resulting deflection of cantilever is very close to theoretical beam bending theory.

Then I get stuck on the constant rate of displacement boundary condition. I change the model to transient analysis, and put h0*t in the prescribed displacement, where h0 is the rate of displacement. The results shows the cantilever bends but the tip remains in the original position. This seems not right. Any suggestion to solve this prob?

2) the material of cantilever is a soft polymer, while the tip is diamond. Thus I want to model the tip as a rigid body, while the cantilever can be deformed. When I model the cantilever as rigid, it indeed bends but there is a very large stress near the contact point. If I want to see the localized deformation at the contact point, do I need the moving mesh model instead?

Thanks for all your helps.

Have you solved your problem?
The contact paris is only for mechanical model?
