W-Band Waveguide to Microstrip Line Transition
Application ID: 90661
In this model, the electrical performance of a W-band waveguide to microstrip line transition (WMLT) is investigated. A standard WR10 waveguide is used and the transition from waveguide to microstrip line is achieved by utilizing the longitudinal probe (also known as E-plane probe) transverse to the propagation direction of the wave. To easily set up the model experimentally, the WMLT design is extended as a back-to-back transition mode. In this extended design, a 50-ohm microstrip line is converted back to the probe, which acts as a feeder for an adjacent WR10 waveguide.
