5G and internet of things (IoT) devices are largely impacted by the performance of microwave and millimeter-wave antennas and their supporting circuitry, such as filters and couplers. Evaluating such devices before fabrication with multiphysics simulation can reduce time and costs during the design and development cycle. Coupling different physics also enables the analysis of multiphysics phenomena, such as thermostructural effects in these devices.

If you would like to learn about using modeling and simulation to develop devices used in high-data-rate communications applications, tune into this webinar.

We will discuss:

  • Modeling antennas, filters, couplers, power dividers, waveguides, and coplanar waveguide structures
  • Identifying impedance mismatching and transmission losses in passive devices
  • Characterizing antennas with near-field distribution and far-field patterns
  • Applications for 5G, IoT, high-speed communications components, and satellite communications
